To be sure women get the short shrift when it comes to how long they are able to have kids. Biologically after a certain point it just is not going to happen. Men always seem so cocky about this. I find this hilarious. Maybe a woman is not able to conceive a child at a younger age but really men do not have that much longer to have kids. Its maybe ten years longer than women do , but its not unlimited. Perhaps a man could sire a child at 60, 70 or 100 years old but what does that mean? He most likely will not get to see that kid grow up. He most likely won't be able to play catch with that kid. Even if he does get to see his kid grow up he may not be in the best of health. He will be more of a grandfather than a father figure.
A lot of times older men are seeking much younger women to stoke their egos. I get that. In reality no one has an unlimited time to become a parent.

Ah but you're making a mistake. You expect guys to think about the consequences of our actions.
Tony Randall had kids very late in life, and he died while they were still young children. I agree that he was probably more like a grandfather for those few years he was "parenting" his kids. But he got to pass along his genes. I don't know how important that is, but to him and to the mother of his kids, it might have been very important.
It seems you haven't give any consideration to the guy having a mitzvah to bring children (a male and a female) into the world. This would cause an older guy who hasn't fulfilled his mitzvah to need a younger woman (to rescue him).
The point isn't that an older man does not need a younger woman to have kids. The point more is that though a man may biologically be able to sire a child at 70 it is not ideal. it is better to have a child when one is still young and stupid. Of course this applies to men and women. One has more energy and patience when one is younger.
A man who sires a child at 60 or seventy is figuring his 35 or 40 year old wife will be doing all of the work
Not to mention that it has been proven that the older a man is when he conceives, the higher the chance is that his offspring will have some form of autism. And by older, that is only over 35 or 40.
