married bloggers

a lot of people blog when they are single and cease blogging when they marry. its just the way it is. perhaps they had more time when they were single so they were able to blog then. married people who blog seem to  be those who started blogging when they were already married. i think that if i were married i would still blog because i have been blogging for four years . but who knows. only time will  tell. hopefully.

I like to think I'll be able to maintain it post-marriage. I really enjoy writing, and I hope some dude doesn't change that.

Amen!
I am one of those people who get annnoyed when everything turns into a bracha for marriage, but IMYH you should know soon! and the fact that you have been blogging for so long..very impressive!

Ahem, as a married still-blogger, I don't think we're quite as rare as you think.

It really depends on what the blog is about, and if it's solely based on your single dating life and reflections on shidduchim, then yes, you'll run out of steam. But if you blog about other things, and can transition into discussing marriage or being a shadchan/coming to grips with single friend's dating woes, then you've got plenty of material to write about.

Someone else recently blogged about this as well... I wrote a similar response there, but I can't recall at the moment which blogger it was.

My pleasure
I have seen so many things being twisted into a bracha for marriage I'm practically an expert

Maybe the nature of the blogging changes. Do any of these people start new blogs on new topics?

shades of grey and morah betsy, i agree that it does depend on if the blog was just about being single or if it was about other things. i guess i have seen some blogs stop after the writer married even though the whole purpose of their blog was not to blog about being single and it was sad to see their blogs end.

i think many of us single bloggers use blogging as a forum for our pain. a therapeutic outlet which hopefully is not needed the same when iyh we get married.
