would u date a blogger?

the blogosphere can be a fun social outlet . but what if this fantasy outlet of ours became reality? what then ? would you consider dating a blogger?

you read a blogger's blog if they have one. you read a bloggers comments if they are only a commenter. you get to know them a little. but is this really who they are? you only get to know the part of them that appears online. unless a blogger has an honest photo of him or herself online, you only get to know them as through their words. their words might only be an act. then again , if you meet someone in real life their words may be just as oscar worthy .

i do prefer to keep my blogging life separate from my real life (yes, there is a difference), but interacting with blogging singles has taught me a thing or two. there are some weirdos out there, and some who are immature, but there are also alot of thoughtful and insightful bloggers out there. i may never meet any of them in real life, but its nice to know they exist on the blogoshpere.

Sounds like a new breakthrough in dating... BLOG dating...

It’s actually not such a crazy idea since you can find out a lot about a fellow blogger or commenter by following their posts and comments…

Even if you seperate your blogging life from your real life, eventually you'll express you real thoughts somewhere...

true, true....ANYONE who reads my blog knows me better than any shadchan ever will.

Mentioning Shadchanim there is so much to write about them they deserve a post of their own...

As much good as they do their is an equal amount ( or more ) that are just greedy, nosy, and dangerous ( by how far they can sometimes lie and decieve )...

Some of them even demand 10,000 for a completed shidduch...

there is alot to write about shadchanim, not much is pretty. ill write more about this at a later date.
i do personally think that there is a special place in hell for them. they are all a bunch of liars. there should be a money back guarantee if u get divorced.

Maybe write a separate blog about this....
Their is an endless supply of horror stories about shadchanim...
Most are about the so called professional shadchanim...

The more titles they have the sicker they get...

I've actually met bloggers before.

and Tuesday I'm meeting a blogger, a girl though, so it's not a date. But it's still cool. I would love to have a girl blogger meet up.

i heard that there was a blogger convention in israel last summer. there should be one in the us for us bloggers here. someone else is going to have to organize it though. event planning isnt my forte.

Frum Female: yea, I actually watched part of it online. I saw frum satire speak, and hirhurim, Jewlicious and some others. I didn't watch the whole thing though.

yea, it would be cool to have one here. But I don't think it would work out. And from reading what every body had to say about the convention in Israel. Most felt that it wasn't a success.

But a little meetup with just a circle of bloggers can be fun. Like the one I'm going to write up about in my last post.
