Keep in mind that most of the foods you see around now in the 21st century are not part of the human species natural diet that we evolved with.

In addition we as humans have a relatively recent cultural view that "food is supposed to taste good" as opposed to the age old and long lasting "food is supposed to nourish and keep us alive" view.

I too once shared our harmful cultural views about food. I used to be quite fat. Now I can't remember the last time I ate pizza, ice cream, fried food, junk snacks, fast food...etc, nor can I imagine living life without having a gym nearby.

If you want you can avi.bitterman3@gmail.com and we can discuss more. From the upper echelon athletes to the developmentally disabled, there is always room to advance into better condition. You can not fathom what your body is capable of under the right conditioning...trust me.

thank you for your input . i would love to exercise more often but i work full time and if there is a choice between sleep and exercise, i believe sleep is the better choice.
i do agree with you that the best way to stay in shape is to eat whole foods and not the processed stuff.

Most people I know at the gym also work full time. They also sleep. You can't spare an hour out of your day? What about 3 hours out of your week?

i have exercised three hours a week. i think that it is great for maintaining flexiblity and i suppose it does boost weight loss, but i have found that changing my eating behavior has done the most to help me lose weight.

Intense cardio will give you the changes you seek the fastest. But you will have to keep the weight off. For this you will need a diet that you can take upon yourself forever. Fitness is a lifestyle, a lifelong commitment. You must understand this.

You can friend me on facebook if you want proof that I was fat back in the day.
