The Importance Of Embarrassing Moments

There are often a variety of characters at the shabbos table when one is invited for a shabbos meal. I always make an effort to be cordial  to everyone . This week was no different.
Today I wore a silver pendant with a white shirt . When I got home I saw that the silver pendant had really needed to be polished before wearing and that the silver stained my white shirt . Chances are at some point during my shabbos lunch meal , my pendant moved and the stain under the pendant was visible. I was glad that I had not been aware of this at the meal because I would have been really embarrassed. Short of putting on my coat there would not have been anything I could have done about it .
The first thing I thought about after noticing the stain was whether or not I had acted rude, impolite or condescending toward anyone. If I had then I would have been really embarrassed.. The only thing more embarrassing than having a stain on your shirt is being a arrogant and having a stain on your shirt. Fortunately all I had was a stain on my shirt.

Nah, there's worse than stains on the shirt. For example, a piece of brocolli between the teeth...

Eh, don't over think it. Things happen!

How big was the stain? It's hard to get worked up over a stain (my own or someone else's). Though I do remember when my boss had a hole in the elbow of her sweater...

It was about the size of a quarter ,black on a white shirt. It was quite noticeable when my necklace moved . Not the most chic

Tesyaa I think that my stain was worse than a whole on the elbow because no one is really paying attention to anyone's elbow

You haven't met many Jewish boys, just looking for that skin above the elbow :-O
