more tisha b'av thoughts

some appropriate tisha b'av movies:
  1. au revoir les enfants
  2. the eichman trial
  3. the children of chabon
  4. shanghai ghetto

all of these are excellent. if you have any to add to the list, let me know.

Haven't heard of any of those. But then again I can't stand watching any Holocaust movies.

Someone told me he's watching Schindler's List but I don't like that there's a romantic subplot... better avoided on Tisha Bav.

(The Pianist is a very powerful film about the Holocaust, but can't remember how significant the love-interest aspect was)

I'm trying to stay away from movies today altogether, trying to grow up a bit.

Easy fast!

yes, its better not to watch a movie on tisha b'av but sometimes it helps.

I saw Schindler's List. Not watching it again, way too traumatic. I don't watch tragic movies period. Regret ever watching Schindler's List.

Moshe: I'm with you on that one. I don't like sad/tragic/scary/horror movies.
